Ruth Istre

Ruth L. Youngblood Istre, 86, Neosho, died Jan. 7, 2016 at the home of her daughter, following an extended illness.

Ruth was born Jan. 16, 1929 in Granby, the daughter of Thomas and Rosie (Vickery) Youngblood. She was a lifelong area resident and had worked in the metal department at La Z Boy in Neosho. She enjoyed gardening and yard work, loved farming and was a member of the Granby First Baptist Church. 

Ruth is survived by three children, Dixie Rose Hanke and husband, Peter Paul Hanke, III; Helen N. Howard and Eric Wayne Istre all of Neosho; three grandchildren, Tammy Renee Hanke, Sheri Ann Hanke and Peter Paul Hanke, IV; three great grandchildren; one brother, Larry Youngblood of Kanas City, MO and one sister, Mary Evert of Neosho. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Thomas Ray Youngblood; sister, Louise Judd and great grandson, Joston.
