Margaret Conover, age 94, of Joplin, Mo. passed away at 2:40 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Spring River Christian Village. Margaret was born June 7, 1921 in Shelbina, Mo. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Blessing Hospital Nursing Program in Quincy Illinois, and worked as a Pediatric Nurse for Blessing Hospital for over 25 years. Following her retirement, she continued as a School Nurse for the Quincy, Illinois School District. She moved to Joplin in 1987. Margaret was a member of the College Heights Christian Church, and was a longtime volunteer at Spring River Christian Village.
Margaret married Wilbur Conover on September 16, 1945 in Shelbina, Mo. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2004. She was also preceded in death by four brothers. Survivors include a son, Marion Conover and wife Lynn, Joplin, one daughter, Kaylene Idleman and husband Ken, Evansville, Illinois, 5 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel with visitation to follow. Private interment will be Tuesday at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
