Ona Geneva Thrasher, age 98, of Pierce City, MO died on Monday, January 04, 2016, at Bentonview Park Health and Rehab. in Monett, MO. Mrs.Thrasher was born in Garfield, AR on Wednesday, March 21, 1917. She was the daughter of John and Caulie (Harirs) Carnes. Mrs.Thrasher was a Baptist and a homemaker. She married Jack Thrasher on January 17, 1965, and he preceded her in death in 2002.
Surviving are the following: five children- one daughter, Geneva Brown of Pierce City, MO and four sons, Sam Dalton of Pierce City, MO, JB Dalton of Pierce City, MO, Jerry Dalton of Granby, MO, and Vernon Dalton of Corona, CA; twenty-one grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home from 12:30 PM Friday, January 8, 2016, until 1:45 PM at which time we will go to Anderson for graveside services at 3:30 PM at New Bethel Cemetery west of Anderson with Pastor Ryan McMillan officiating .
