Merle Bradley

Merle M. Bradley, 88, of Granby, MO, formerly of Jefferson City, MO, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, while at St. John’s Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Merle was born on May 31, 1927 in Little Rock, AR, the only son born to the late Bill and Charlotte (Baldwin) Bradley. Following his graduation from Mt. Vernon High School with the class of 1945, Merle served his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. Merle was a self-employed contractor, working in construction for many years. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and a man of God, as he was of the Baptist faith. Merle enjoyed target shooting, camping and had a great love for the outdoors.

Merle is survived by his sons, Bill Bradley and Ron Bradley; his daughters, Kate Malesevich, and husband John, and Patti Wilson, and husband Don. Also surviving ar e his sister, Carolyn Wilson; two grandsons, Eric Herbst and Andy Herbst and wife Emily; as well as one great-grandson, Harlan Herbst.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Bradley will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Monett. Reverend Tony Martin will be officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 2-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. On-line condolences can be made at www.buchananfuneralhomemonett.com.
