(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Elizabeth Julia Anderson, age 83 of Pineville, MO., passed away on August 16, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas.
Elizabeth was born on June 14, 1938, in Delevan, New York, the eldest daughter of Donald William and Mary Elizabeth (Wendt) Allen. Elizabeth has been a long-time area resident. She worked in the poultry industry before retiring.
Elizabeth was a loving mother, wonderful author of short stories, & friend to many.
She married Richard Anderson in 1996, he preceded her in death in 2008. Elizabeth has also been preceded in death by her parents.
Elizabeth is survived by her five daughters: Beth Ann Rosten (husband Bill) of Holland, NY, Vivian Brooks of Noel, MO, Marjorie Dodson (husband Greg) of Pineville, MO, Margaret (Mitch) Rogge (wife Janet) of Noel, MO, and Barbara Rozell (husband Troy) of Noel, MO.
Eleven grandchildren Amy, Sandy, Robert, Nathan, Amanda, Ashley, Gregory, Amber, Joshua, Austin, Nevaeh, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A family celebration of Elizabeth’s life took place on Thursday, August 19th with several in attendance.
Elizabeth prearranged cremation. No formal services will be held.
Betsy is missed by so many. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the English Anderson congregation, she spent considerable time helping her neighbors learn about bible truths. She was an avid bible student. She had such a funny personality and was quick witted. I really enjoyed her humor and company. I look forward to seeing her again, when she is in perfect health.
