(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Sherry Lee Willoughby McGinnis of Carthage, MO passed from this life Friday, August 20, 2021 at National Health Care in Joplin, MO. She was 70.
Sherry was born July 10, 1051 in Elvins, MO to Carl and June Lenora (Parker) Barbee. She had lived in Carthage for the past 5 years moving from Webb City, MO.
She was a homemaker and a member of Highway Tabernacle inn Quapaw, OK and the Red Hat Club in Joplin, MO.
Sherry was preceded in death by her 1st husband Jack Willoughby on October 1, 2017. She was also preceded by her parents and 1 sister, Cathy Robinson.
Sherry married James McGinnis on July 10, 2020 and he survives of the home. Additional survivors include 4 sons, Tony Ray Willoughby of Joplin, MO, Brian Willoughby and his wife Stacia of Carthage, MO, Thomas Brent Jestice and his wife Annette of Fairland, OK and Jason McGinnis and his wife Dacey of Raleigh, NC, 1 daughter, Diana Norman of Bentonville, AR, 7 brothers, Wayne Barbee of Commerce, OK, Roger Barbee of Commerce, OK, Steve Barbee of Little Rock, AR, Keith Barbee of Bentonville, AR, Donnie Barbee of Pensicola, FL, Joey Barbee of Joplin, MO and Mark Barbee of Miami, OK, 1 sister, Dana Hughes of Carthage, MO, 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Highway Tabernacle in Quapaw, OK with Rev. Ray Clonts officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery southwest of Columbus, KS. Keith Barbee, Tony L. Willoughby, Brian Willoughby, Devin Willoughby, Tony R. Willoughby and Steve Barbee will serve as pallbearers.
