(From Clark Funeral Home)Edwin Levi Craft was born August 24, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas, one of five sons to Herbert and Dorothy M. (Connell) Craft. He entered into rest on August 29, 2021 in Neosho, at the age of 73.
Edwin served his country in the United States Marine Corp, December 9, 1966 – August 29, 1969, during the Vietnam era. He was a decorated veteran as a Purple Heart recipient among other honors and was a combat wounded veteran.
He worked as a machinist for the railroad prior to his retirement. He was a talented guitar player, having played as an opening guitarist for Chet Atkins. He enjoyed motorcycles and was a member of the ‘Rolling Thunder’ motorcycle group; he enjoyed fishing and building things.
Edwin is survived by three daughters, Aimee Moore of Ft. Scott, Kansas, Kim Peters of Peabody, Kansas and Angela Crooks, Louisburg, Kansas; his partner of eleven years, Catherine ‘Cathy’ Sailor of Neosho and eleven grandchildren, Jordan, Sierra, Abigail, Hailey, Riley, Brayden, Bryce, Drake, Kaylee, Ryan and Gunner.
He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Ray Dean Craft, Roger Allen Craft, Ronald Gene Craft and Roland Keith Craft.
