(From Knell Mortuary)Arlyce Irene Helm, 86, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Saturday morning August 21, 2021. Arlyce was born June 3, 1935, in Ruso, North Dakota to the late Ralph Borg and Alice (Borgen) Borg. Arlyce was a graduate of Turtle Lake High School Turtle Lake North Dakota.
She married Kenneth Helm on September 28, 1952, in Turtle Lake, North Dakota; he preceded her in death on January 8, 2016.
Arlyce was a homemaker raising her seven children. She was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church Carthage, was a wonderful seamstress, loved to sing, and travel, especially to Branson.
Survivors include six children, Mary Helm Biesterveld (Rick), Carthage, Missouri, Arla Hagen, Carthage, Missouri, Kevin Helm (Jessica), Ponca City, Oklahoma, Leonard Helm, Carthage, Missouri, Vanessa Coates (Lennie), Carthage, Missouri, and Kelly Helm, Carthage, Missouri; a brother, Garry Borg (Dolores) Abilene, Texas; a sister Nan Borg, Carthage, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son Kenneth Helm, Jr.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, August 27, 2021, at the Crossroads Baptist Church, Carthage. Burial will follow in the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin, Missouri. The family will receive friends form 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the Knell Mortuary. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
