(From Brenner Mortuary)Gary A. Lair, 79, of Asbury, MO, passed away at 10:11 a.m., Friday, August 20, 2021.
He was born November 30, 1941, at Pittsburg, KS, the son of Lawrence and Laura (Mead) Lair.
On October 15, 1960, he was united in marriage to Donna Godard. They recently separated.
Mr. Lair worked as a general contractor before his retirement. Membership was held in the Mirza Shrine and the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by three sons, Joe Lair of Asbury, MO, David Lair (Veronica) of Huntsville, AL, and Greg Lair (Kim) of Pittsburg, KS, three daughters, Cheryl Adams (Mark) of Oklahoma City, OK, Kim Grissom (Dennis) of Weir, KS, and Sheila Powell (Kevin) of Columbus, KS, one sister, Rosetta Grant (Gary) of Lake Kiowa, TX, eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Mr. Lair is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Larry Lair.
A service for Mr. Lair is set for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at the Brenner Mortuary with Pastor Daryl Gaddy officiating. Burial will follow in the Crocker Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Friends may also leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com.
