Carl Jeffries

Carl Paul Jeffries of Springfield, Missouri went to his heavenly home, Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He was born February 22, 1937 in Syracuse, Missouri to James Paul and Vadina (Van) Jeffries.

Carl worked for Equifax Services for many years, retiring from Contract Freighters, Inc. of Joplin, MO.

Carl loved to read, especially his Bible. He enjoyed playing dominoes, card games and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Campbell Methodist Church for 40 years. He previously had been involved with the youth at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Joplin, MO and had been a Deacon.








Carl is survived by his wife, Dorine Jeffries, his sons Mike Jeffries of Raymore, MO, Steve Jeffries (Susan) of Joplin, MO, daughter Lisa Stiver (Dale) of Joplin, MO, stepdaughters, Laurel Chayer (David) of Springfield, MO and Julie Weaver (Everett) of Brookline, MO. Nine grandchildren, Jennifer Myers (Preston) of Bentonville, AR; Jared Jeffries (Meghan) of Galena, KS; Joseph C Western of Carl Junction, MO; Cody Western (Katelyn) of Joplin, MO; Kaleb Rae of Kansas City, MO; Dustin Chayer(Bridget) of Nixa, MO , Jason Chayer(Rachel) of Springfield, MO, Eric Manley (Heather) Nixa, MO, and Ryan Besher of Springfield, MO . Seventeen great-grandchildren, Mia Myers, Lexi Myers, Hugh Jeffries, Vivian Jeffries, Gabe Western, Kyrie Western, Abby Western, Sawyer Western, Gwynnie Western, Fintan Chayer, Rylee Chayer, Naomi Chayer, June Chayer, Opal Chayer, Charlotte Chayer, Mason Manley and Landon Besher. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Earl Jeffries and a sister, Ethel “Jean” Veith.

Visitation and service will be held August 26, 2021 at Campbell United Methodist Church. Visitation is 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Klingner-Cope family funeral home at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens 4500 S. Lone Pine Springfield MO.
