Al Wilcox

Alfred Alden “Al” Wilcox, age 86, of Granby, Missouri, entered into rest at 10:25 a.m. on August 24, 2021, at the Granby House. He was born May 30, 1935, in Lakota, Iowa, the son of Charles Alden and Hannah (Bosma) Wilcox. 

On February 20, 1960, he married Evelyn Ruth (Allen) Wilcox in Buffalo Center, Iowa. She preceded him in death on April 11, 2019.

Al and Evelyn moved to Goodman, Missouri 1992 and he worked as a carpenter. He was a member of the Granby First Baptist Church. Al enjoyed the simple things in life; he loved God and his family.








He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his four children: Joe Wilcox and his wife, Sharon, of Andalusia, Alabama, Randal Wilcox of Joplin, Missouri; Kevin Wilcox of Stillwater, Minnesota; and Tamara Haggard and her husband, Ryan, of Cassville, Missouri; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, his parents, three sisters, Edna Joel, Geneva Wilcox, Alberta Wilcox, brother, Roger Wilcox, and daughter-in-law, Nancy Wilcox, preceded him in death.

Under the direction of the Clark Funeral Home in Granby, a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the Granby First Baptist Church, with Pastor Russ Johnson officiating. Al is to be interred at the Granby Memorial Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Granby First Baptist Church c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 26, Granby, MO 64844.
