Helen Willis

Helen D. Willis, age 90, of Webb City, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

Ms. Willis, daughter of the late Walter and Viola (Christman) Jordan, was born on February 26, 1931 in Racine, MO. She was a lifelong area resident having attended school and working in the area most of her life in hotel hospitality and housekeeping. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Destiny Church when her health allowed her. 










She was a collector of angels and later enjoyed red cardinal bird watching and collecting. She was known to enjoy country music and driving in her red 66 Mustang convertible. But most importantly, Helen cherished the time spent and memories created with her family.

Survivors include the father of her four children, Theodore Jeffers, of Joplin; one son, David Jeffers, and his wife, Ruth, of Joplin; three daughters, Darlene Rodriques, of Joplin, Barbara York, of Webb City, and Norma Hampton, and her husband, Rick, of Overland Park, KS; two brothers, Robert Jordan, of Carthage, and Leroy Jordan, of Oronogo; one sister, Hazel Banks, of Carl Junction; grandchildren, Debbie Badgwell, Shona Watkins, Christy Montgomery, Julie Dittmer, Stacey Hampton, Brian Hampton, and David B. Jeffers; 15 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Reynolds Eugene Jeffers; three brothers, Walt Jordan, Marvin Jordan, and Carl Ray Jordan; and four sisters, Inez Scott, Virginia Prigg, Wanda Williams, and Lois Foster.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City with burial to follow at the Carterville Cemetery in Carterville. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, September 2nd from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home, Webb City.
