Julie Gamel

Julie Doris (Bauer) Gamel 72 of Pineville, MO (formerly of Pierce City, MO) passed away on August 17, 2021. Julie was born on March 19, 1949, the delight of her parents, Doris and Ira Bauer and her brothers, Daniel and Larry who were 12 and 14 at the time. She was the adored little girl they had only dreamed of. She is preceded in death by all of them.

Julie dedicated her life to serving Jehovah on April 6, 1963. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and she loved teaching others and sharing Bible truths. On December 23, 1967, she married Bill Gamel who has loved and cared for her for 53 years.

Together, they had 4 children and Julie is survived by them. Carissa Gamel and her children, Miranda Stamps, Alyssa Cromer, Madilyn Gamel, and Shamain Horton; Shad Gamel & wife, Michelle, and children, Jace, Jack and Breck; Jeffrey Gamel & wife, Stephanie, and children, Gwendolyn and Estelle; and Tim Gamel & wife, Karissa, and children, Ryley, Reece, Brittin and Maddox.

Julie loved entertaining and traveling. Her home was open to everyone. Her children’s friends were treated as if they were her own, and she became a bonus grandma to her grandchildren’s friends.

A special thanks to all who sent food, said prayers, sat with her and supported the family during this difficult year. A special thanks to her niece, Barbara Abramovitz.

Julie will be dearly missed by many as we await the promised resurrection in paradise (John 5:28)

A memorial service will be held on September 12, 2021, at 2 PM via ZOOM. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
