Dorothy Adams

Dorothy Mae Boothe Adams was born on December 7, 1945, in Granby, Missouri, the daughter of Orville Elmo Boothe and Clara Rozella Linder Boothe. She entered into rest on August 19, 2021, in Lufkin, Texas.

Dorothy was a 1964 graduate of Granby High School. On March 7, 1981, she married Lawson Adams in Kansas City, MO. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with her husband. Dorothy loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was steadfast in praying for the hurting and sick. Dorothy’s most treasured gift was being GG to her grandchildren and great-grandson.








Dorothy is survived by her husband Lawson of 41 years, five daughters, Sharron Adams Thomas and husband, Antony of Hall Summit, LA, Barbara Adams of Austin, TX, Ruth Adams of Nacogdoches, TX, Marsha Adams of Houston, TX and Amy Provo of Houston, TX; two sisters, Alma Philips and Velma Clausen of Mt. Hope, KS; two brothers, Danny Boothe of Granby, MO and Paul Boothe of Blanchard, OK; three grandchildren, Emily Adams, Lawson Mear, Hunter Turnpaugh; one great-grandson and the light of her day, Jackson Adams; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Suzanne Boothe Brewer and Nora Catherine Boothe; three brothers, Donald Boothe, Kenneth Boothe, and Richard Boothe.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on August 27, 2021, at Clark Funeral Home in Granby, Missouri, with Howard Raney officiating. Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m., prior to the service. Dorothy will be laid to rest at Granby Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Jamie Adams, Antony Thomas, Lawson Mear, Mike Jameson, Brandon Boothe, and Kory Jameson.
