(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Shirley Jean Ingersoll, 76, of Joplin, MO passed away peacefully on August 17, 2021 with her husband by her side.
Family and friends are invited Sunday, August 22 from 1-3 pm at Mason-Woodard in Joplin, MO for visitation. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, August 23, at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
Shirley was born January 1, 1945 in Gravette, Arkansas to Millie Mae Seay. She graduated from Duenweg High School and later in 1963 she married the love of her life, Larry Ingersoll, in Saginaw, MO.
Shirley was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch, watching Larry bowl and collecting lighthouses along with salt & pepper shakers.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother Millie and niece Tonya Spencer.
She is survived by her husband of almost 58 years, Larry, son, David Ingersoll, two daughters, Abby Ingersoll and Jena Johnson, two grandchildren, Eson Johnson and Paige Johnson (Brycen Jones), one great granddaughter Joelene Lampson, two sisters, Della Castillo (Adolfo) and Glenda Hodges (Johnny), many nieces and nephews, as well as several close friends who all called her Mom.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Smith, Brian Martin, Bob Quin, Chris Roe, Brycen Jones, and Eson Johnson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
