(From Clark Funeral Home)Billy Guy Henry, age 69, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away at 11:28 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, following a sudden illness. He was born August 10, 1952, in Joplin, the son of Charles M. and Nina (Stone) Henry.
On July 2, 1982, he married Jean (Daniels) in Neosho, she survives.
Bill was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Diamond High School, Crowder College, and Missouri Southern State College. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1972- 1976. Billy retired from Hometown Bank, where he worked as an auditor for many years. He loved fishing with his brother Mick and spending time in his yard tending to his flowers.
Additional survivors include one daughter Tammie Hays of Stark City, Missouri; one step-daughter, Traci Wise of Neosho; two grandchildren: Tyler and Sydney Hays; two brothers: Rick Henry of Neosho and Mick Henry of Joplin.
His parents, one son, David Henry, and his brother, Ronald Henry, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho. Ron French and Matt Wallain will officiate. Billy will be laid to rest in the Gibson Cemetery in Neosho with full military honors performed by the Missouri Funeral Honors Program.
The family will receive friends at the Clark Funeral from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. before the services.
In memory of Billy, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Bright Futures of Neosho or Faithful Friends Animal Advocates in c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, Mo. 64850.
