(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)John Ralph Reyes of Carl Junction, MO passed from this life Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was 64.
John was born October 24, 1956 in Wellington, KS to John and Martha (McKinley) Reyes. He had lived in Carl Junction for the past 15 years. He had also lived in Joplin and Miami, OK. He graduated from Miami High School Class of 1974 and N.E. O. A&M College in Miami, OK. He was a team leader for the 3M Plant (Ceradyne Boron Production) in Quapaw, OK.
John attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miami, OK and had been an assistant coach for Miami High School Soccer Team. He also coached girls softball. He was a KC Chiefs, Cardinals and OU fan. He loved his grandchildren and loved to attend their activaties.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include 1 son, Kenny Reyes and wife Allison of Yukon, OK, 1 daughter, Julie Byrd and husband Tim of Norman, OK, 2 sisters, Mary Elbert and husband David of Joplin, MO and Louise Hall and husband Doug of Nixa, MO and 7 grandchildren Haylee Reyes, Sydney Reyes, Peyton Owens, Brady Owens, Ashton Byrd, Braxton Byrd and Scotlynn Byrd.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 27, 2021 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday evening at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, OK.
