Sheryl Epley

Pamela Sheryl Epley was born September 6, 1956 in Monett, Arkansas, one of eight children to Nolan and Wanda (Blackwood) Abernathy. She went to be with Jesus on August 19, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, following a three-week illness at the age of 64. 

Sheryl was raised with her siblings, traveling throughout the United States, eventually residing in Avennal, California and then to Kennett, Missouri. 

While living in Kennett, Sheryl met her husband, Steve Epley and they were united in marriage on July 4, 1975 in Jacksonville, Florida. Sheryl was a devoted and committed Pastor’s wife serving numerous congregations throughout the United States.

 

After many years of serving as evangelists, they made their home in Racine, Missouri in 2010. Sheryl was a tremendous cook, decorator, organizer and a ‘mother’ to many. She loved to shop, cook and serve others. 

Sheryl is survived by her husband of 46 years, Steve; six siblings, Kathy Wilson and husband, Kenny, Nolan Keith Abernathy and wife, Camilla, Nathan Abernathy, Timna Murphy and husband, Milford, Sherah Moss and husband, Jeff and Stephen Abernathy; many nieces, nephews and extended family. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel Abernathy
