Joanna Kenyon

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Joanna Kenyon was born on May 29th, 1951, in Fairview, Missouri. Following a long battle with illness, she passed away peacefully at home with her family in the early morning of February 1, 2024, at the age of 72.

Joanna was a woman of valor: a faithfully loving wife, an inspiring mother, a supportive grandmother, and a kind, caring, giving, gently, funny, unforgettable woman. She was a Mensa member, a librarian, a lover of literature, a master of grammar, a naturally gifted seamstress, a craft-maker in all forms, a seeker of knowledge, a solver of puzzles, a reader of mysteries, and educator of youth, and so much more.

Joanna’s calming presence was a source of comfort to all who knew her, and that same energy was always welcoming to anyone new she’d meet. Knowing her was a blessing to every life she touched, and she will be deeply missed by so many, both within her family and around the world.

She leaves behind, her husband, Terry Kenyon; her two children, Robin (Kenyon) Wolke and husband, Kelly, and Aric Kenyon and wife, Jessica; her six grandchildren, Eden Cooper and husband, Benjamin, Hannah Rucker, Tiana Wolke, Taggert Kenyon, Amber Kenon, and Meira Wolke; four sisters, Carolyn Smith, Doreen Agee, Lois Weems, and Pat Baker; and countless other beloved friends, family, and relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret (Mortensen) and Mert Joel; her two sisters, Margaret Jane Weber and Debbie Edwards; her three brothers, Neal Joel, Jimmy Joel, and Hugh Joel.

Private graveside services will be held.
