(From Buchanan Funeral Home)Ralpha Gaylene Cook of Monett passed from this life at Lacoba Homes after a long illness on February 4, 2024.
Ralpha was born on July 31, 1945 in Anderson, MO, to Ralph and Veda (Jones) Cook. The family later moved to Monett where she was a lifelong member of Christ United Methodist Church of Monett. She was a graduate of Monett High School.
Ralpha was employed at Brownsberger’s in Monett as a Bookkeeper and Clerk for 43 years, retiring to take care of her mother to whom she was devoted.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, Lee Cook of Pierce City.
She is survived by her sister Margaret Roller of Purdy, four nephews Rick and Randy Roller of Purdy, Steve Cook of Monett, and Mark Cook of Eureka Springs, AR and one niece, Leasa Lamb of Houston, MO and a host of family and friends.
Ralpha loved the outdoors. She loved bicycling, gardening, mowing, and flowers. She was an exceptional artist and loved painting, calligraphy, carving, and crafts, giving away most of her artwork to family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Buchanan Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Wormington officiating. The interment will be privately held at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
