(From Simpson Funeral Home)With profound respect and fond remembrance, we announce the passing of Steven Wayne Putnam, known to us simply as Steve, on July 3, 2024. Born on April 4, 1948, in Joplin, Missouri, Steve lived a life that was as durable and intricate as the metalwork he so lovingly crafted. He had a vibrant spirit and was a man of immense determination, much like the materials he worked with.
Steve was a proud proprietor in the metal fabrication industry, retiring in 2012 from Greenwood Fabrication in Joplin, MO. His intricate designs and high-quality craftsmanship were a testament to his skills and work ethic. His dedication to his craft was only surpassed by his devotion to his family. Steve was a loving father who was incredibly proud of his children and always made them his top priority.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Erma Putnam, his son Matthew Putnam, and his sister Cherry Ferreira. He will be greatly missed by his children Steven Putnam Jr, Nick Putnam, Christy (Dwayne) Wiley, Kristy Provens, and Joshua Glidewell; sisters Judy (Denny) Walton, Linda Miller, Sandy (Mitch) Gates; brother Jim (Norma) Putnam; grandkids Steven Wayne Putnam III and Jessica, Kailee Putnam and Javon, Mariah Putnam and Dakota, Gabe Putnam, Michael Miranda, John Miranda and a host of other grandkids, great-grandkids and other family members.
