Elma Bradley

Elma Jo Bradley, 86, of Seneca, MO, formerly of Diamond, MO departed this life on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin surrounded by her loving family.

Elma entered this life on September 14, 1928 in Diamond, MO to the union of the late Frank and Hazel (Bogard) Shimp. She was a graduate of Diamond High School. Elma lived several years in Diamond, and later moving to Joplin, MO. Elma was an inspector for LaBarge Electronics in Joplin, MO and retired in 1994. She enjoyed writing poems, letters, as well as her letter ministry to prisoners, quilting, scrabble and cross word puzzles. She had a love for children and wanted each child to learn to pray. Elma also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Weslyan Holiness Alliance, Diamond, MO. She will dearly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Frank Harel Shimp and Fred Myron Shimp and one sister, Jeanne Stailey, two grandchildren; Daniel Bradley and Juliegh Bradley and one great grandson; Skyler Bradley.

Elma is survived by her sons, Frank Bradley and wife Parva of Seneca, MO and Pat Bradley and wife Helen Louise of Columbus, KS., six grandchildren, Jennifer Mckee and husband Gary, Val Littlefield, Jeff Bradley and wife Anna, Johnny Bradley and wife Erin, Mike Bradley and wife Aubrey and Sam Bradley, twelve great grandchildren, seven great-great children and soon to be nine, numerous nephews and nieces as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bradley are 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie, MO with Pastors Danny Perryman and Ricky Waldon officiating. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Granby, MO. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Those honoring her life as pallbearers are Jeff Bradley, Mike Bradley, Johnny Bradley, Sam Bradley, Gary McKee and Kyler Littlefield. Honorary pallbearers are Steven Williams and Zach Johnson. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Treece Holiness Church, Treece, KS and designated to the children’s clothing ministry and be left at the funeral home.
