Virginia “Ginny” Wallace age 59 of Webb City passed away on August 16, 2015 at her home.
She was born on November 11, 1955 in Austin, Texas to Edward Atwood and Nona Hill Atwood. Ginny was a teacher for Carthage Middle School, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Carterville.
She married Danny Wallace on August 9, 1975 in Carterville, Missouri and he survives at the home. She is also survived by her father, Edward Atwood of Joplin; sons, Danny Wallace and wife Shannon of Joplin, David Wallace and wife Rachel of Hollister, Missouri, Darren Wallace and wife Candra of Oronogo; grandchildren, Chastin Wallace, Bailey Wallace, Raven Wallace, Adysen Howerton, Riley Hataway, Landon Hataway, Jacob Hollingshead; sisters, Suzie Carver of Joplin, Cathy Atwood of Joplin; and a brother, Matt Atwood and wife Carla of Oregon.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Carterville with Reverend Jerry Mayfield and Reverend Darren Wallace officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Burial will be in the Carterville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church of Carterville or Bright Futures of Carthage in her memory.
