Florene Marie Michaels, 95, Carthage, MO, passed away on Wednesday evening, July 29, 2015 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, MO. Florene Marie Williams was born May 11, 1920 in Lamar, MO to the late Earl Williams and Beulah (Jones) Williams. She was a graduate of Lamar High School. She married Chester D. Michaels on March 6, 1942 in Lamar, MO, he preceded her in death on March 31, 1999. Florene was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Carthage. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include, two daughter in laws; Donna (husband Scott) Campbell, Carthage, MO, Patricia Michaels, Springfield, MO, four grandchildren and eight grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sons, Steven W. Michaels and Gary Michaels.
A graveside service was held Monday, August 3, 2015 in Park Cemetery, Carthage. Rev. James Lee officiated. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Red Cross in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W.
