James Howard Montgomery, age 75, Carthage, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the Veterans Health Care Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
James was born October 18, 1939 in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Wilbur Montgomery and Violet Robbins Montgomery.
He worked as a machinist and was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by three sons, James H. Montgomery II, Tyler, Texas, Kevin R. Montgomery, Greenfield, Missouri, Phillip A. Montgomery, Galena, Kansas; two sisters, Mary S. Jenkins, Joplin, Karen L. Willoughby, Lamar; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a son, Randy E. Montgomery.
Graveside services are planned for Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Osborne Memorial Cemetery. James Poe will officiate. The family will serve as pallbearers.
