Elson Ben Saimon, age 49, Joplin, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at his home.
Elson was born January 6, 1966 to the late Elam Saimon and Makdalina Ben Saimon in Pohnpei, FSM. He was a talented brick layer by trade and a great musician, able to pick up and play about anything. Elson was of the Christian faith.
Surviving Elson are two daughters, Shanna Saimon of Texas and Lesley Jesse of Goodman, MO.; three grandchildren; brothers, Eiken and Elmen Saimon; sisters, Eliwihse Moura, Esther Alumbaugh, Eliwihna Gilmete, Carmihna Lihpai, Makilihna Sampson, Markina Lebehn and Cartina Aisek; mother of his children, Dosko Lewis.
Elson's body will lie in state at the home of his sister, Eliwihna at 1601 S. Sergeant in Joplin from Saturday, August 22nd at 2:00 p.m. to Sunday at 2:00 p.m.. Afterwards his body will be taken for cremation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
