Peggy F. Long, 77, Neosho, died August 21, 2015 in Neosho, following a lengthy illness.
Peggy was born Jan. 22, 1938 in Stark City, Missouri, one of twelve children to William G. and Irene (Landreth) Farley. She was a lifelong area resident and had worked as a secretary for Bond Buick, Griffith Motor, CFI and retired from Sitton Motor. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Neosho and had volunteered in the nursery.
Peggy married James Carrol “J.C.” Long on April 13, 1957 and he preceded her in death on August 23, 2009. She is survived by two daughters, Terry Osborne and husband, Mike and Carol Markovich and husband, Todd, all of Neosho; seven grandchildren, Matthew Osborne and wife, Melissa; Laura Shadwick and husband, Heath, Julie Lippert and husband, Jeff, all of Neosho; Gabi Moore and husband, Chris of Georgia; Stephen Markovich and wife, Alex, Phillip ‘Petey’ Markovich, Beth Johnson-Millard and husband, Brian, all of Neosho; nine great grandchildren, Wyatt, Colby, James and Macy Shadwick; Mason Markovich and Wyan Moore and Chandler, Haylee and Derek Millard; two brothers, Jimmy Dean Farley and Bud Carol Farley, Neosho and two sisters, Linda Reynolds, Neosho and Patsy Bridges, Newtonia. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Millie Shadwick and siblings, Lewis Farley, Louise Eaton, Bessie Bumpas, LeRoy Farley, Jack Farley, Colleen Rumley and infant brother, Wm Glen Farley.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015 at 3 pm at the Oakwood Cemetery, Rev. Roger Brumley will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Stephens, Gary Pearman, Eddie Schultz and John Geller.
