Tony Zane Pace, 84 passed away August 25, 2015.
Tony was born May 18, 1931 to Clifford Pace and Thelma Scantlin. He was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather and husband. His great love was his children, Mark and Sandy, who were with him as he passed peacefully after an extended illness. He battled diabetes for over 40 years. He successfully beat two forms of cancer and several other illnesses with courage and dignity. He graduated from Pearl Hill School in Fidelity and from Carthage High School. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War and returned to Carthage to marry and raise his family. He was a very hard worker and was a master carpenter. He provided well for his family and was a loyal friend. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Tony is survived by one daughter Sandy Murphy and one son Mark Pace both of Carthage, one grandson Adam Murphy, one sister Barbara Andrews of Cassville, MO, and several nieces and nephews. Tony is preceded by his parents, one brother Jim Pace and two sisters Ginger Hanvey and Gloria Crotts.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday August 27, 2015 at Fullerton Cemetery south west of Carthage. Contributions can be given to the American Diabetes Association in care of Ulmer funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
