Ruth Laris

Ruth L. Laris, 83, Granby, died August 24, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, following a lengthy illness. 

Ruth was born June 24, 1932 in Treece, Kansas, the daughter of Elmer and Faye (Tanner) Judd. She moved to Granby in 1988 from North Canton, Ohio and was a homemaker. She enjoyed doing crafts, playing music and was a member of the Granby Christian Church. 

Ruth married Walter Laris on Aug. 19, 1954 in Stark City and he preceded her in death on June 30, 1991. She is survived by three children, Steven Thurman and wife, Tamara of Granby; Stan Laris and wife, Linda of N. Canton, Ohio and Susie Davis and husband, Scott of St. Petersburg, Florida; four grandchildren, Jewaina Thurman of Granby, Dustin Tamilio of Atlanta, Georgia, Danita Tamilio of Granby and Danielle Tamilio of Lynchburg, Virginia and three great grandchildren, Kaylee Carter, Roger Casperson and Chloe Casperson. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded by a brother, Dee Judd.
