William "Bill" Leroy Veith, age 76, of Stotts City, MO died on Saturday, September 02, 2017, at the Sarcoxie Nursing Center in Sarcoxie, MO. Mr. Veith was born in Lawrence County, MO on Saturday, June 14, 1941. He was the son of Henry and Eva (Galloway) Veith. Mr. Veith was a well-known farmer in the Stotts City and Sarcoxie areas. Mr. Veith attended East View Methodist Church before its closure.

Surviving are the following: his wife, Patricia of Mt. Vernon, MO; three sons, William "Billy" Veith and wife, Jody, of Sarcoxie, MO, Calvin Veith and wife, Nancy, of Sarcoxie, MO, and James Veith and wife, Christine, of Stotts City, MO; two sisters, Mary Lou Beatly and husband, Kenneth, of Phoenix, AZ and Sally Luck and husband, William, of Lee's Summit, MO; four step-daughters, Kathy Goodman of Mt Vernon, MO, Anita Beaver of Brookline, MO, Denise Glover of Monett, MO, and Tammy Moenkhoff of Stotts City, MO; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Tuesday, September 05, 2017, from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Graveside services and burial will be held at the East View Cemetery west of Stotts City, MO on Wednesday, September 06, 2017, beginning at 1:00 PM.
