(From Knell Mortuary)Lowell Davis passed peacefully at his home in Red Oak II on November 2, 2020 with his wife, Rose, and son Aaron, by his side. The sweet scent of roses entered the room as he breathed his last.
Lowell is deeply loved by his family and community. Thousands of people across the world have traveled Route 66 and have encountered Lowell and his creation, Red Oak II, along the way. He always made time to give others his full attention, tell them a story on his porch, and enlighten them with his witty sense of humor.
Lowell was an unequaled visionary, artist, father, and one of the kindest people on earth. His love for the Lord is unquestionable and his life reflected the love and creativity of his Heavenly Father.
He will be greatly missed by his community and his family. He leaves behind a great legacy of people and unparalleled creative works. His service to his country as an airman in the United States Air Force will not be forgotten.
Lowell was born to Burton and Nell Davis on June 8, 1937.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Davis; his sister, Evelyn Davis; six children, Phillip Davis, Jeb Davis, Aaron Davis, April Davis, Heather Davis, and Wren Vickers; eight grandchildren, Katie Penn, Noah Leiter, Jordan Leiter, James Malcolm, Reagan Davis, Taylor Payne, Clayton Black, and Sydney Black; five great-grandchildren, Maximus Leiter, Jude Penn, Aeralyn Leiter, Clifton Black, and Pherix Black.
On Saturday, November 14 at 1 PM, a funeral service for Lowell Davis will be held at the Red Oak II cemetery, 10,917 County Loop 122, Carthage MO.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to help preserve the legacy of Lowell Davis through: Red Oak II, 12266 Kafir Rd., Carthage, MO 64836 in care of Rose Davis. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
