(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)

Carl Roger (Art) English, 74, a lifelong resident of Joplin, MO., passed away on July 31, 2023, at his home.

Roger was a renowned vendor at Southside Antiques for more than thirty years. His pieces can be found in home and businesses across the country, including, Silver Dollar City and even Martin Scorsese's film, Killers of the Flower Moon.

Roger loved fishing, especially when he was able to battle with those in the deep sea. He was also a proud member of Freedom of the Road Riders.

Roger is survived by his sons, Michael, Jeremy, Patrick and their families, including six grandchildren, sister, Pamela English, her children and grandchildren, his brother's children, his beloved wife, Elizabeth, and cat, Rosie. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Fred Doerge.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Joplin Humane Society in care of the mortuary.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
