Erma Poteet

Erma (Evans) Poteet went to live with the Lord January 5th at the age of 95. She retired from Pillsbury in the Quality Control department. After retirement, she spent most of her time with family, going places with grandkids.

She is preceded by her parents Henry and Florence Jones, two sisters and five brothers, her first husband Carl Evans, stepson Carl Gene Evans, and second husband Bill Poteet.







She is survived by her daughter Beverly (husband, Mick) Baker of Joplin, MO, her son Jay (wife, Janice) Evans of Southlake, Texas; six grandsons, six great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Service will be at Bethel Church in Baxter Springs, Kansas on Thursday, January 11th, 2024, at 2:00pm. Pastor Mark Kerr will officiate.

Erma’s care is under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home in Baxter Springs, Kansas.
