(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Jiggs Carrick, age 63 of Diamond, Missouri passed away in his sleep on Sunday, February 11th, 2024 at his home in Diamond, Missouri.
Jiggs was born on August 5th, 1960 to Basil and Leola Carrick. He met the love of his life Rita Heckmaster and they wed on Christmas Eve 1980, going on to have one son, Amos.
Jiggs was preceded in death by his wife Rita Carrick, father Basil Carrick, mother Leola Carrick, brother Peanut Carrick, sister Judy Warren, and sister Shiley Lynn.
He is survived by their son Amos, his wife Jessica, and his two grandchildren Hailey Martin and Silas Carrick. He is also survived by sister Janice Reeves and her husband Randy, sister Sandra Dellard, and her husband Bruce, brother Roger Laws and his wife Carlotta, brother Richard Carrick, sister-in-law Melody McCutcheon and her husband Wayne, and countless friends.
Jiggs worked in roofing and construction all his life. In his time off, he loved being with his family and lounging in his shorts and flip-flops. He also enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace and always liked to share his latest favorite joke.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 16th, 2024 from 5-7 pm (come and go) at Skinner's Pottery 19099 Aspen Rd in Diamond, Mo. Private graveside services are to be held at a later date.
