(From Clark Funeral Home)Caleb Tyler Cooper, 32, of Neosho, MO, passed away on March 5, 2025, in Neosho, MO. He was born on November 16, 1992, in Springfield, MO, to John Cooper and Pamela Scheffler.
Caleb graduated from East Newton High School in 2011 and later attended the MSSU Police Academy in Joplin, MO, where he proudly completed his training. As a dedicated Law Enforcement Officer, Caleb served the Neosho Police Department for several years, where he was deeply respected by his colleagues and community for his commitment and service.
Caleb was a person of many passions and had a kind soul and big heart, always putting others before himself. He was a man of faith and his love for the Lord showed vividly in his life.
He enjoyed the companionship of his dog, Layla, and enjoyed raising his fish. Caleb loved collecting coins, guns and guitars, and was a self-taught guitarist, sharing his love for music through his playing. A true music enthusiast, he loved attending concerts, particularly his favorite event, Rocklahoma. Caleb was also an artist who expressed his creativity through various forms of art. He was an avid gamer and also enjoyed learning about raising farm animals, especially chickens and cows.
He is survived by his father, John Cooper, his sister Brienna and husband Brett Black, his brother Connor Drake, his two nieces, a nephew on the way, his beloved dog Layla, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Caleb was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Scheffler, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, MO, where friends and family will gather to celebrate his life and honor his memory. Tye Zola will officiate.
