(From Meadors Funeral Home)Dorothy Lois (Love) Corner, was born on Thursday, May 14, 1925. She passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025. She was 99 years, 9 months, 20 days young.
She was the daughter of Ben and Bertha Love of Diamond Missouri. Dorothy was the valedictorian of her high school class of 1944 in Diamond Missouri. She was united in marriage to Bob Corner on January 7, 1949.
Dorothy and Bob had two sons, Randy and Kevin Corner. In 1957, they relocated to Republic, Missouri, where Dorothy remained in the same house for the rest of her life.
Bob and Dorothy joined the First Christian Church of Republic on July 14, 1963. She was a past CWF president, choir member and attended Sunday School faithfully until three months before she passed.
Dorothy worked as a homemaker and bookkeeper for the business she shared with Bob. Later on, she took a position in the office at Tapjac Home Center in Republic, MO.
Making lasting memories with her grandchildren was one of her greatest joys. She stayed close to Jennifer and David throughout their lives, and when they wed, she warmly welcomed Jon and Kayce into the family. She also had a passion for supporting the Missouri State Lady Bears and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Dorothy was proceeded in death by her parents, a sister Viva and a brother, Ben. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Randy and Debbie Corner, Kevin and Kerri Corner, two grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Jon Romano and David and Kayce Corner, church family, other relatives and many close friends.
A visitation will be held at 10:00am with the funeral services at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in the Republic First Christian Church with Pastor Lee Young officiating. The funeral will be under the direction of Meador’s Funeral Home and burial will follow the service in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic.
The family would like to thank Hospice and all caregivers.
