Archie L. Jordan, Jr., age 57, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at Integris Grove Hospital after a sudden illness.
Archie was born May 13, 1957 in Joplin to the late Archie Jordan, Sr. and Joyce Rose Wyrick Jordan and had lived in Joplin all of his life.
He was a graduate of the former Memorial High School and graduated from Oklahoma State Tech with a degree in printing. He worked for Larry Hickey Distributing for 17 years as a sales representative. Archie loved the outdoors and enjoyed playing golf. He was a member and course marshal at Schifferdecker Golf Course, Joplin.
Survivors include two sons, Archie Jordan III and his wife, Mary, West Covina, California, Nicholas Jordan and his wife, Dawn, Neosho; three brothers, Orville Stubbs, South Bend, Indiana, Charles Jordan, Kansas City, Missouri, John Jordan and his wife, Holly, Joplin; three sisters, Stella Kirkman and her husband, Richard, Indiana, Cindy Daggett and her husband, Kevin, Joplin, Barbara Delhiem, Joplin; and four grandchildren, Kara Jordan, Dereck Doke, Payton Felty and Tyra Lyn Felty.
In addition to his parents, Archie was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Mae England.
A visitation is planned for Thursday from 5-8:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Joplin Elks Club, in care of Parker Mortuary.
