Lela Boswell

Lela D. Boswell, 59, of Carthage passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at her home. Lela was born June 1, 1955 in Joplin, MO. She was the daughter of Roland Nichols and Winnie "Richardson" Nichols. Lela was a lifetime resident of Carthage. She was employed at Butterball, INC. for more than 25 years.

Lela was united in marriage to Rick Boswell on June 30, 1973 in Carl Junction, Missouri, He survives.

Other survivors incude one son, Adam Boswell of Carthage and one daughter, Lisa Myers of Carthage, one brother; Guy Nichols of Carthage, two sisters; Marsha Comer of Joplin and Cheryl Atwell of Neosho, MO, two grandchildren; Zackeriah Boswell and Ashlee Myers. Lela was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Robert "Bob" Duley and Richard Duley.

Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2014 at Powers Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Ulmer Funeral Home prior to services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ulmer Funeral Home.
