Eula Virginia Bowers 93 passed peacefully at St Mary’s Manor, Blue Springs, MO on September 29, 2014.
Eula was born March 2, 1921 on a small farm located SE of Neosho, Missouri in a beautiful valley much to the delight of mother Clarice Gertrude (Hatzfeld) Lampo, father Fredrick Lampo and brother Lewis Maxwell (Max).
She was preceded in death by Frances Lampo, Frederick and Gertrude Lampo, Leon Caywood, Stephen F. Lampo, Lewis Maxwell Lampo, Connie Caywood, John E. Bowers, Carson Vahldick, Kay Vahldick, David Caywood, Jack Caywood, Jan Douglas and Elinor L. Lampo.
In January 1946, she married Leon Caywood. While living on a small farm near Goodman, MO, she and Leon had three sons: Jerry Lee, Gary Ernest and Thomas Edward.
Between homemaking, gardening, taking care of the boys, tending the animals she kept very busy! She made a special effort to attend her sons’ baseball or basketball games, whether it was at Goodman or as far away as Columbia. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and great grandmother. Aside from family, she loved to quilt, knit, crochet, play Canasta, Skip-Bo, dominos and read. She was a member of the Plaza Heights Baptist Church.
In October, 1994, she married John Earl Bowers and moved to Willard, MO. His family readily adopted and loved her very much! John had five children: Kay, John Jr, Steve, Cindy and Jan.
