Robin Lynn Page, 57, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Freeman West after her two year courageous battle with Colon/Liver cancer.
Robin was born January 5, 1957 in Webb City, Missouri, daughter of the late James Robert Dixon and Joy Latty Dixon of Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from Webb City High School in 1975, and then earned two Bachelor's degrees in music at Missouri Southern State University. She was a music teacher for 26 years, teaching at several school districts in Missouri. She was a very talented musician and singer who enjoying playing keyboards and the clarinet. After retiring from school teaching, she enjoyed spending time working with the Front Page stores, and she also enjoyed playing music with the band "Front Page News" along with her husband Jon.
She is survived by her husband, Jon Page whom she married December 31, 2005; mother, Joy Dixon; brother, James Michael Dixon and wife Johna of Carthage, Missouri; her children, Chelsea Samuel of Lebanon, Missouri, and Ethan Samuel of Springfield,( both of whom followed in her footsteps as teachers); Jonathan Page and wife Jenn of Carl Junction, Mason Page and wife Tara of Joplin, and Andrea Page-Graham and husband Ben of Neosho; step mother, Judy Dixon; step-sisters, Julie Luton and Misty Hook both of McKinney, Texas; and 8 grandchildren.
A celebration service will be held Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Wildwood Baptist Church, Joplin, MO.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
Family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Robin Page Memorial Fund c/o the family.
