Ronald “Ron” Benton Kime, age 78 of Webb City, MO passed away Sunday September 7, 2014 at the Landmark Hospital in Joplin, MO.
He was born on January 14, 1936 in Pittsburg, KS the son of Benton and Dorothy “McFarland” Kime. Ronald was a veteran serving his country with the United States Army. He earned his Bachelor’s in education from Missouri Sothern State College. He taught computers at Lamar High School and Galena High School and worked for Jackson Hewitt helping prepare income taxes. He was a member of the American Legion Post 13 of Joplin, Joplin Houn Dawg National Guard, and loved the St. Louis Cardinals Fan.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, his father who passed away during WWII and is buried in Belgium Germany, and a brother Larry Kime in 1967. He is survived by his wife Connie of the home, three sons: Ronald Kime II of Galena, KS, Chris Kime of Galena, KS, Lane Growcock of Neosho, MO and Chad Stark and wife Christina of Joplin, MO; two daughters: Denise Stark and husband Steve of Kennewick, WA and Tammie Lynch and husband David of Webb City, MO; a brother Allen, two sisters: Diann and Jan; and several grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday September 12, 2014 at the MT. Hope Cemetery in Webb City, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday September 10, 2014 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary. The family suggests contributions to the Wounded Warriors in care of the Mortuary. The family would like to send a special thanks to Landmark Hospital for all the love, care and support the not only gave Ron by their whole family.
