Lola Smith, 81, passed September 18, 2014 at her home in Carthage;
Lola was born August 27, 1933 in South Greenfield to Oscar Smith and Ruth Frances “Mayfield” Smith. She lived in Greenfield and moved to Carthage in 1960. She was a homemaker.
Lola was married to Russell Smith April 22, 1963 in Oklahoma he survives. Lola is survived by one daughter Peggy Sue Hopper and Husband Jerry of Granby, MO and one son Michael Eugene Smith also of Granby, four grandchildren Jeremy, Jamie, Eric, and Starlet, seven great grandchildren, three sisters Julia, Pearl and Eva and one Brother Frank. Lola is preceded by her parents, one grandson Michelle, one sister Marie Nonnemaker and one brother Elmer Smith.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday September 23, 2014 at Pennsboro Cemetery in South Greenfield. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00p.m. , Monday September 22, 2014 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pennsboro Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
