Billy Mack Demery, Jr., 68, Carterville, died September 27, 2014 at his home following a short illness.
Billy was born October 26, 1945 in Fort Benning, Georgia, the son of Billy and Lois (Allison) Demery. He graduated from Webb City High School in 1963 and lived there until 1966. Billy then moved to Granby and lived there until moving to Carterville a year ago. He was a dispatcher for Tri-State and R & R Trucking for 39 years before retiring in 2008. Billy served in the National Guard and was an avid farmer. He raised cattle and enjoyed going to auctions.
Billy and Connie Keeton were married on June 27, 1965 in Joplin and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Bryan Demery and wife, Shawn of Webb City and Brent Demery and wife, Heather of Bella Vista; one brother, Burl Demery and wife, Anita of Carterville; and five grandchildren, Brandon Demery, Bradley Demery, Cheyenne Weter, Breann Demery and Bella Demery.
Remembrance of Billy's Life will be held at a later date.
Cremation services are under the Direction of Clark Funeral Home
