Dovie Marie Cooper, 76, Neosho, died September 4, 2014 at home, following a short illness.
Dovie was born March 10, 1938 in Bernice, Oklahoma and was a lifelong area resident. She worked as an inspector for Kraft and retired after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse for 35 years and attended Wayside Assembly in Wyandotte, Oklahoma. She volunteered at the Help Center for many years.
Dovie and Leo Cooper were married on March 10, 1956 in Galena, Kansas and he survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Brown; two sisters, Wilda Ritter and Ethel Jones; eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Dovie is preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Jones; a son, Steve Cooper and ten brothers and sisters.
