Terri Dawn Wright, age 51, of Joplin, went home to be with the Lord, on Monday September 29, 2014,at her home, surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Terri was born on January 11, 1963 in Joplin, the daughter of Jack and Beulah (Holden) Watts. She has been a lifetime area resident. She graduated from Memorial High School a member of the class of 1981.
She married Tim Wright on July 24, 1981 in Joplin. Together they raised three sons. She was a member of Cathedral Assembly of God Church, Joplin, where she served in many capacities and assisted as the Pastor’s wife. Terri was the Assembly of God Sectional Women’s Representative. She worked for Sew Fro Fabrics, Motorola, Charles Burt, Precious Moments, and Tri-State Engineering.
Terri is survived by her husband, Tim Wright, Joplin; three sons, Scott Wright and wife Victori, Joseph Wright and wife Sarah, and Jeffery Wright and wife Alicia, all of Joplin; her father and step-mother, Jack and Wandalee Watts, Joplin; four sisters, Ywacheta Kalinowski, Sand Springs, Ok., Cyndi Smith and husband Paul, Carthage, Mo., Jackie Bunch and husband Steve, Stark City, Mo., and Janna Schoenhals and husband Craig, Nixa, Mo.; three grandchildren, Bailey, Allie, and Hadley, and one on the way; ten nieces and nephews, and eight great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beulah Watts.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at 2nd Assembly of God Church. Pastor John Veazey will officiate. Burial will be in Carl Junction Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at 2nd Assembly of God Church. Memorial contributions may be given to the Compassionate Heart Missionaries of the Southern Missouri District Council in care of the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
