Terrence (Terry) Fox was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 9, 1925, the daughter of Paul and Eva Ivey and died on September 26, 2014.
She completed school in Roland, Oklahoma and married James Fox, her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, on November 4, 1943. They were married for over 63 years. Terry was proud to be a homemaker, wife and mother, however, she did work outside the home for 7 years as a receptionist at the YMCA. They lived in Kansas City for two years, moved to Joplin, lived in Carterville for 28 years, and in this area for a total of over 50 years. Terry belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Webb City and St. Canara in Neosho after moving to Granby to live with her daughter Rose Fox. Terry was a talented quilt and Raggedy Ann & Andy doll maker, she loved working in the yard and garden, and she was still oil painting until the time of her death.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Eva Ivey; her husband, James Henry Fox; one son, Paul Henry Fox; and two sisters, Mary Lee Czarnikow and Margaret Lockwood.
Surviving Terry are two daughters, Rose Fox, Granby, Missouri, with whom she lived for many years, and Eva Jean Davis and her husband Joe, Shalimar, Florida; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Carol Jane Fox, Webb City, Missouri. Also surviving are some very special nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. Fox will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29 at St. Canera Church in Neosho, MO. Visitation will be Sunday 3-4 p.m. at the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Webb City, MO. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home and Crematory.
