Christian Ainsley Baird, 42, Diamond, MO, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Freeman Neosho Hospital after a sudden illness. Christian was born in Joplin, MO on October 19, 1971, the son of Marvin and Kathryn Baird. He was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School, Class of 1990. Christian married Kellie VanWagner, on December 18, 2001 in Sarcoxie, MO. Christian was a forklift operator at Lozier Corporation in Joplin, MO. He will be missed greatly.
Survivors include his wife, Kellie Baird, Diamond, MO; his mother, Kathryn Baird (Baugh), Woodward, OK, his father; Marvin and wife Dolly Baird, Carthage, MO, four children; Zachary and Issac Baird, Diamond, MO, stepson, Perry VanWagner, Diamond, MO, Jordan White, LaRussell, MO, two sisters; Tess and husband Jack Lankford, Fayetteville, AR, Jenni and husband Steve Cully, Stockton, MO, and one brother; Nick Baird, Gulf Shores, AL.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 11, 2014 in the Knell Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 12, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, Diamond, MO. Rev. Ron Crow will officiate. Memorial gifts are suggested to the children of Christian Baird in care of Knell Mortuary. Interment will be in the Diamond Cemetery.
