C. V. Conway

Cloud Victor “C.V.” Conway, 84, passed away at his home in Carthage, September 2, 2014.

 C.V. was born July 12, 1930 in LaRussell, MO to Melton and Thelma (Baker) Conway. He was a longtime Carthage resident. C.V. worked as a border bender for Steadley Manufacturing for 46 years. He attended the Kendricktown Methodist Church. He served in the Army from 1952-1955. C.V. loved fishing, camping, hunting, gardening and riding motorcycles.

 C.V. was united in marriage to Clarise Culley they had been married for 59 years, she survives. C.V. is survived by three daughters Glenda Pflug of Joplin, MO, Linda Houck (Carl) of Carthage and Mary Conway of Carthage, MO., three grandchildren Jerimie Bastings, Joplin, MO, Jeff Houck (Angela) of Manchester, TN and Jill Keplar (George) of Neosho, MO, four great grandchildren Damien Bastings, Clara Keplar, Wyatt Keplar and Kinsli Houck, one sister Viola Spangler of Carthage. C.V. is preceded by two sisters Wennonah Rumor, and Leota Woods, one brother Clifford Conway.

 Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday September 5, 2014 at Oak Hill Cemetery Carthage, MO. Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m. 10:30 a.m. Friday September 5, 2014 at Ulmer Funeral Home.
