Verle Elizabeth Hamann, age 91 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Wildwood Ranch in Joplin.
Verle was born April 10, 1923 to the late Orville W. and Bertha M. Kimble in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She worked for Ampex in Los Angeles, California as an Engineer Support for over 20 years.
On November 20, 1945 she married Earl Donald Hamann in Reno, Nevada. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2002. After Earl's passing, Verle moved to live closer to family in Joplin.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Hamann and husband Jonathan Lewis of Kentucky, April Rasmussen and husband Dick of Joplin; grandsons, Ernesto Alcala Hamann and wife Lorenza of Cancun, Mexico, Robert LaFleur and wife Holli of Sparks, Nevada; great-granddaughters, Lore', Domenica and Diane; one sister, Doris Peltier of Joplin; a niece, nephews and extended family that will miss Verle as well.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary and there are no services planned at this time.
