Nova E. Boydstun-Kluseman, age 98 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at Wildwood Ranch in Joplin.
Nova was born June 14, 1916 to the late Dekalb and Amy Forkner Boydstun in Arcadia, Kansas. After graduating high school she received her cosmetology license and worked in the Joplin area. She was a member of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a faithful volunteer for both St. John/Mercy Hospital and American Rehabilitation Ministry of Joplin. Nova was also a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Joplin.
On February 4, 1939, Nova married William E. Kluseman. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2002. Also preceding her in death are two sisters, Dorothy Hoover and Amy Hohman; one brother, John Boydstun.
She is survived by two nephews John Terry Hohman of Louisville, Kentucky, Richard Boydstun of Georgetown, Texas; niece, Nell Cangiana of the State of Maryland; several great nieces and nephews; special friends, Jerry and Linda Starkweather of Joplin and Ralph and Carol McClurg of Monett, MO.
Graveside services are planned for Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Fair Haven Children's Home in Strafford, MO in care of the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
